April Already

At some point, I might no longer be behind on my to-do lists, and I may not reflect on how fast time moves and how hard it is to keep up. I suspect I may be dead at that point, or possibly so depressed that I have just given up. But for now. How is it April already?

As for what is going on in my current projects, let me do a round-up:

Adventurer’s League Modules: Today, was my deadline for the first module to go up on DMsGuild.com, needless to say, that did not happen. I have found an editor to take on the modules, and giving them time to review the documents has set me back a bit. But that is not the major reason for the pushing the deadline back. I decided long ago that I was not going to use AI art in my modules, and I had thought that would mean that I would be limiting art. But I decided to go the old R. Talsorian route and make diaramas and include them in the modules, along with some 3-D modeling tips for game masters. I think this justifies a 30-45 day push back.

The Swiftarrows: This has gotten off to a great start. I like all of the characters, and I think they are doing well, but I suspect a death may be happen in the next couple of entries. Grump seems determined to resolve this, but the party is pretty drained of resources. One of the nice things about running a party in a solo game is that a death can be easily integrated into the story. Unfortunately, I will be sad about whatever character is lost.

Traveller: I still have not gotten started on this, but I do have a plan for the characters – well as far as plans for Traveller characters go. I will be giving each character a life goal before character generation, and they will be trying to achieve it during character generation. Expect the first pair of characters this weekend.

The Red Menace: Really excited about this, and I plan on doing the first battle tonight, although it may take a couple of weeks to get an AAR out.

Building Community: I want to build community with this blog, but I am pretty lazy about moderation, and I really do not want to deal with the internet crap, so I think I am going to create a “subscription” model. No articles or resources will be behind a paywall, but I think that a dollar a month will discourage internet trolls from commenting.
