Photo Box

I have no use for AI art and would rather pay an artist to create art for me than use an environmental disaster mimeograph. Also, AI art is so soulless and I say this as a person who has a side hustle working with large language models, banal. It does not help that the most vehement fans of AI are also people who share the least commonalities in style appreciation, so the homogenizing blend that is AI is definitely not what I am after.

Unfortunately, artists need money. Art is work after all, and the fact that so many of us do it recreationally does not change that, any more than my over-aggressive planting of Carolina Reapers and harvesting of green onions makes farming a hobby. That is a limited resource, at least for me.

So, I have decided to use my aggressive collecting of miniatures and miniature terrain to make art for this here blog. Yeah, although we are talking about better quality than my portrait drawing, this is going to be painful. I have some old bookshelves that are on the long list for replacement, and I glued some black book board to a top shelf to make a photo box.

Like many of my projects, it feels a little slapdash, but the cover image of some Acid House Terrain and a White Scars patrol looks pretty cool.
