Episode – 4 Fire, Flood, Dirt and Tornado

The Third Day of the Melting, continued.

“We need to go now and deal with this fricking ‘Lord of Lance Rock.’ Those bodies need to be returned to families.” Grump was worked up. “Of course,” Grump smiled, “if he has anything that is not a Zombie or Skeleton, we could put it towards the cause.”

“The cause?” Sasha asked suspiciously.

“Fighting evil, and maybe a bottle of wine or two.” With that, Grump stormed off to the west.

Following Grump, the rest of the crew rounded the corner. A large cavern, at least fifty paces by twenty paces, with a workshop, was before them. A robed individual with matted hair under their hood turned to look at the party. The closest tables had baskets of assorted body parts spread over them. From the far end of the hall a voice echoed through the cavern.

“Who dares disturb the court of the Lord of Lance Rock?”

“I do you decomposing pile,” Grump stormed towards the voice, ignoring the robed figure, “of defecation droppings.”

“And for what reason do you approach the Lord of Lance Rock, Keeper of the Mysteries of Death…” Booming was not a good description of the voice - it seemed more like screeching.

“Well, we were simply curious…” Jonathan called out, seeing an opening for negotiation.

“To return these corpses to the families,“ Grump growled, “try to stop me, and yours will become a new mystery of the dead..”

Jonathan called, in desperation, “wait, wait, no need to fight…”

“Minions prevent the interloper from coming any closer to the Lord of Lance Rock. Attack,” The Lord of Lance Rock had made a decision.

“Seldarine damn me!”Jonathan exclaimed.

“Guys, there are a lot of them.” Sasha drew her bow and took a shot across the cavern at the Lord of Lance Rock “Maybe, we should run.
